It’s such a joy to blog about our own wedding. It’s definitely a wedding planner’s dream to finally meet her soul-mate and start the planning! Jonathan and I got married at the Aurora Inn in Aurora, NY, just a little bit over a year ago on June 4, 2011. We were so excited when Well Wed decided to feature our Wedding in their Summer 2012 issue. You can find the magazine out now in bookstores and online. Since I haven’t yet blogged our wedding, I am going to post the feature from Well Wed and more of our wedding photos that we love so much. Dennis & Binaryflips, thank you so much for capturing our wedding so beautifully. We love our photos! We loved working with Kevin and Jennifer Huss of Kevin Lee Studios for videography, and we still watch our video whenever we can (such a wise investment, every bride should have a videographer)!
Our wedding vendors were so fantastic, and truly made our dream wedding complete. Thank you so much to Heather from the Aurora Inn, I absolutely could not have put together our wedding without you. Adrienne, from Admire Design, you were an incredible Maid of Honor and we loved our Wedding Paper from Save the Dates, to Rehearsal Dinner Invite, Wedding Invite, and Wedding Day Paper! Stacy of Stacy K Floral designed the most unbelievable wedding flowers for us. They were stunning, fresh, unique, and so us. Our gorgeous cake was from Maria of La Dolce Vita Cakes in Auburn, NY, and it was as delicious as it was beautiful. Maria also made us fresh macaroons and cupcakes as well. Rob Corr of Correlation Productions from Newington, CT, did us the honor of traveling up for entertainment and to provide lighting for our wedding with his team. We honestly did not stop dancing! Our chairs, chargers, cotton candy, and popcorn machines came from Hank Parker Rentals of Rochester, and linens were from Nuage Designs, BBJ Linen, and Cloth Connection. Bella Umbrella of Seattle sent the most beautiful vintage parasols for us for our photos, and we loved them so much!
Erica Abdo did an incredible job with all of our makeup, and Maria McEvoy was the makeup artist for our two moms, they were so beautiful. We loved our hair by Meredith of the Bride’s Hairstylist. I love how each of our hair styles were so different! Adrienne, Caitlin, and Erin’s dresses were Alvina Valenta from Stylish Impressions of Farmington, CT. My dress was an incredible find at Kleinfeld straight off the runway from Michelle Roth (who I loved meeting at my first appointment)! I chose the first dress I tried on and it was magical. Thank you as well to Jill of Kleinfeld for making my experience so easy. Adrienne & I embellished my shoes to make a one of a kind pair of raindrop bottom shoes. Jonthan, Theron, Doug, and Alan wore suits from Brooks Brothers, sweater vests (oh so Jonathan!) and each of the groomsmen had argyle socks and a different bowtie.
Thank you to my Father in Law, Pastor Douglass Powell, MD, and Mother-In-Law Cathy for performing such a personal and exciting ceremony to officiate for us, and my parents, Ann and Dave for hosting and throwing such a beautiful reception for us. To all of our guests who traveled to the wedding, thank you so much for making our wedding such an incredible and joyous event. We had such an amazing time with you! Lastly, to my Jonathan, thank you for being such an amazing husband. I am so proud to be your wife and can’t wait to see our little baby girl, arriving in August!
