Three weeks before the Priam Vineyards Showcase, Michelle and Gloria of Priam Vineyards asked me to work with them to plan and design their event. Working with Michelle and Gloria was a fantastic experience, and we are so excited to share the unbelievable potential that their Connecticut Vineyard offers for Weddings and Special Events. With 40 acres of pristine land and a 25 acre vineyard, Priam is perched on a hilltop overlooking beautiful New England country views and can accommodate weddings of unlimited size with a flat lawn accommodating a tent. To compliment the property, CT Rental Center provided a beautiful sailcloth tent which was the perfect fit for the rustic but elegant vineyard.
At the Showcase, Priam announced their new partnership with luxury off-site caterer Riverhouse Catering, a division of Riverhouse Properties. Riverhouse Catering made the most decadent food for the event, and wine tasting was of course provided by Priam with their award-winning wines. Drew Lavyne of Six Minute Stories, and Michelle Wade of Michelle Wade Photography created a jaw-dropping video and took absolutely gorgeous photos of our event.
The rustic and chic seating areas were provided by Erik & Christen Ryan of Ryan Designs with cocktail arrangements by Michelle of Innovative Florals. Michelle Duthrie, owner of Innovative Florals and Event Coordinator at Priam Vineyard, and I asked three of our favorite florists to showcase their work at the Vineyard, while Michelle created a table as well. We wanted each of the design tables to have a distinct design that showed unique ways the vineyard could be dressed for weddings.
Diane Gaudett Custom Floral Designs, Ana Parzych Cakes, and Ambiance Luxe joined forces to design two tables together. The first was our focal table, adorned with roses, hydrangea, and Orchids from Diane Gaudett. The Tulle overlay and chair backs paired with the metallic underlay were a stunning combination. Ana Parzych added a stunning cake that complimented both the linens and our accompanying bridal gown. Ashley Krauss of A Little Something White Bridal Couture in Darien expertly matched our designs to a gorgeous drop waist tulle Anna Meier Ulla Maija bridal gown and tasteful neutral Coreen Moore Bridesmaid dress. If you love these dresses visit Ashley and Amber at A Little Something White Bridal Couture for your bridal or bridesmaid appointments.
Diane Guadett and Ambiance Luxe also worked with Ana Parzych on her over the moon cake display. Ana designed three special cakes for Priam Vineyards in a fall aubergine, lavender, and sage color palette. She also paired her cakes with wines from Priam Vineyards and created a special sauce for one of her cakes using wine from one of the vineyard’s wines. Diane draped fresh green orchids in a branchy arbor with antique hanging lanterns, with linens from Cloth Connection. These delicious cakes were incredibly beautiful and the presentation was stunning.
Innovative Florals’ design table showcased the true rustic nature of the Vineyard with a Fall color palette. Farm table and table top rentals were provided by CT Rental Center, while the napkins and napkin rings were provided by Cloth Connection.
Carey Leining of Stems Flower Design designed both the beautiful ceremony area shown in our video as well as this petite sweetheart table. Carey designed her table with grape vines and seasonal accents. Tabletop Rentals provided by CT Rental Center.
Terri Krisavage of TK & Brown’s Flowers designed an elegant farm table to mix rustic touches and glam accents. Farm table and tabletop rentals were provided by CT Rental Center, napkins, chair backs, and chair tassles provided by Cloth Connection.
Creative Cakes by Donna also brought beautiful cakes that were perfectly in line with all of the table designs and the vineyard. The cakes were delicious and her well-thought-out and whimsical designs truly complimented the spirit of Priam Vineyard.
Lighting and DJ Services were provided by Power Posse Productions. Their team was incredibly professional and did an amazing job of lighting all of our beautiful tables and displays as well as providing uplighting. The DJ’s music flowed seamlessly with our bands. For live entertainment we had several musical ensembles from Divina Artisti, founded by Danielle Turano of Divina Strings. Divina Strings, Infinitango, and Mi Scuzi serenaded us with live string music, vintage italian, american jazz, and tango music. The live music and bands were the talk of the evening!
Additional thanks to Naomi and Tonya of Naomi Studio & Salon for providing makeup and hair styling for our hostesses. Special thanks to all of our contributing vendors! It takes a great team to make these events work so perfectly and we couldn’t have done this without all of you.
